Songs Of Youth Vol 2 – S2

Songs Of Youth Vol 2 – S2 is a second album of original home recordings of songs written by John Sparrow in his teens and early twenties. The songs were initially recorded at various (uncertain) points between 1969 and 1974.

These songs of youth at that time range from love songs (A Loser’s Pretence, Dressed In Red, Eleanor Knows How, Juliet Love On, Just Like The Everly’s Cathy’s Clown and Picture Me) to songs exploring growing older (Child On The Station), how a newly-born child might change the world (Nichola Jayne), treatment of the planet (Buy Me), the perils of war (Don’t Want To Know, Waiting For Lovers and Willy and Jane).

Vocals, guitar, bass and piano are performed by John Sparrow.

Female additional vocals by Kathie.

Narration on From Thoughts To Dreams is by Chris Bray.
