Songs Of Youth Vol 1 – Sparrow is an album of original home recordings of songs written by John Sparrow in his teens and early twenties. The songs were initially recorded between 1972 and 1974.
Vocals, guitar and piano are performed by John Sparrow.
Mike Myerson revisited and produced these versions of the songs by adding keyboards, guitar and backing vocals in 1996.
Bass guitar is played by Pete Akers except on I Want You Around which is played by Martin Kay and Evolution which is played by Tony Penfold.
Female additional vocals by Marianne and Kathie.
Narration on Evolution is by Chris Bray. Additional guitar on Evolution is played by Tony Penfold.
